We implemented a GitOps-based approach for infrastructure provisioning, where new resources like databases in Azure are automatically deployed by scanning Git repositories for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC). This eliminated the need for manual configuration and reduced reliance on tickets and handovers.

Infrastructure provisioning was fully integrated into the software delivery workflow. As soon as a developer commits approved IaC, it is validated, approved and deployed with full compliance, traceability and zero manual steps.

This shows how well-designed automation and platform thinking change how infrastructure is delivered: scalable, self-service and developer-friendly. It is the paved road in practice.
